Ambassador Kraak at the opening of Brabantia factory, Talsi region
On 22 September 2011 Ambassador of the Netherlands in Latvia, His Excellency Mr. Jurriaan Kraak and Chairman of the Board of Brabantia Ltd. Christ van Elderen in the presence of the Board Members and the Director of Latvian Investment and Develpoment Agency Andris Ozols, opened the new factory of Brabantia in Pastende, Talsi region.
Ambassador Kraak: “Brabantia products are part of the Dutch daily life for several generations. As a representative of the Netherlands I am proud to see the well-known Brabantia logo on two shops and a factory in Latvia. I know Brabantia as an innovative enterprise with well designed products of a high quality. I am convinced about the success of the concept “Invented in Holland and Made in Latvia” and that Brabantia as an investor, producer and employer has a bright future in this Latvia and the Baltics.”
The officially opened factory, which started its operations in Latvia in 2008, produces two types of Brabantia products: ironing boards and laundry dryers. It is the 5th factory of Brabantia in the world.
